Why not Make a Bequest

Leave a long lasting legacy

If you haven’t thought about it before, you’re not alone. Many people have not thought about making a bequest for a number of reasons and that’s ok, but it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t!

Reasons bequests are NOT made:

  • not everyone has thought of making a will – nudge, nudge…
  • not everyone knows what a bequest is, if you are one of them, read on below…
  • some people have never thought about it,
  • some simply don’t want the hassle,
  • some think it’s for rich people or cat ladies.

In fact, the majority of bequests are made by everyday folk like you and I who would like to leave something behind that will make a bit of a difference to the world.

What about the hassle or the overwhelm of making a will?

We have partnered with Gathered Here to take the hassle out of the process. The lovely staff at Gathered Here can help you make a will in just ten minutes! That’s maybe about as long as it could take to make breakfast or take a shower! Hassle sorted, what about overwhelm? It needs to be done at the right time. Why not now – it’s another thing to tick off your to-do list and imagine being part of something as monumental as saving koalas from extinction, what a lovely feeling.

We are guessing because you’re here, you already know about our work and the crisis our koala population faces. We can’t emphasise how much support means to us and a bequest from everyday people is essential for ensuring the continuation of our work and safeguarding koalas and their habitat. Knowing we will receive a bequest gives us a boost in so many ways.

What legacy you would like to pass on to future generations?

Check out our Leave a bequest page and our partner page – Gathered Here and if you have any questions please let us know!
