2025 Koala Calendar
It’s time to snag your free Christmas gift from Friends of the Koala! Our super popular koala calendars are back for 2025 and as always are totally free to you as a thank you for your support! All you have to do is sign up and you will have immediate access to choose from five or select them all! Our koala calendars are again perfect for the animal-lover in your life, for yourself and as a sustainable gift option.

Every year, festive season coincides with breeding season and therefore our busiest time of the year. It costs approximately $5,000 to rehabilitate and release one koala and our Northern Rivers Koala Hospital needs $500,000 annually just to keep our doors open. Our total annual budget is just one million Australian dollars with overheads so low because of the enormous contribution our volunteers make. The monetary value of their contributions is estimated at a minimum of $3 million dollars per annum, three times our operating budget. The social and environmental value of their contribution is higher yet as they are filling an otherwise unmet need. Read more about our koala hospital.
The reality is wildlife conservation is underfunded and with limited funding combined with rising costs, a decline in donations and an increase in a demand for our services we have no choice but to be intentional about fundraising. We hope that our Christmas gift ideas are a win win for us as a charity and you as a conscious consumer.
